FBI Wanted 4.1

The FBI Wanted mobile application is a tool designed to assist in tracking down criminals and locating missing persons. The app presents information released by the FBI in a user-friendly interface, offering a range of search and filtering capabilities not found on the FBI.gov website.

The app allows users to:

• Utilize the search function to locate fugitives and missing persons by name, alias, location, or other descriptive information present in their profile;
• Sort or filter profiles by modification date, publication date, field office, status, and subject/crime category;
• Easily report information by utilizing buttons that connect you with the relevant FBI field office or lead to the Bureau’s online tips page;
• Personalize your home screen based on your preferences for data display; and
• Bookmark individual profiles for quick access later on.

Using the App:

Upon installing the app, navigate through the various summaries and tap "Read More" for the complete profile. Profiles may feature a map indicating the local field office handling the case, a link to the poster on the FBI.gov website, and detailed information about the individual wanted or missing. Tap on any image to view an enlarged photo. Use the button at the bottom of the page to save the profile to your bookmarks for future reference.

You can access the settings page by returning to the home screen and tapping the handcuffs icon on iOS devices. Within the settings page, you can specify how you wish to filter and present information within the app. For instance, you can categorize profiles under headings such as Case of the Week, Ten Most Wanted, Fugitives, Terrorism, Kidnappings/Missing Persons, Seeking Information, Parental Kidnappings, Known Bank Robbers, Endangered Child Alert Program, and Violent Criminal Apprehension Program. Additionally, you can organize data by FBI field office, publication or modification dates, and status (captured, deceased, located, etc.).
